    “How are people inspired to become curious and think creatively?” This presentation aims to explore this question with the help of a “Cabinet of Curiosity” – a collection of objects designed by different people to provoke curiosity itself and reflective thinking about concepts related to curiosity.

    Affiliation/Bio: University of Michigan – Flint, associate professor, jkupp@umich.edu. Jeff Kupperman is an Associate Professor of Education at the University of Michigan - Flint and a core member of the University of Michigan's Interactive Communications & Simulations group. A major focus of his work involves the development of technology-mediated programs that allow K-12 and university students to push the boundaries of play, communication, social action, and culture. His resume includes a wide range of teaching experiences as well as professional software engineering.
    Co-presenter: Aviva Dorfman is an Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education at the University of Michigan-Flint, where she teaches courses in play, curriculum, and assessment in early childhood. Her research interests focus primarily on teachers of young children, in particular on professional development, performance assessment, and facilitating and extending children's play in classrooms. Formerly a modern dancer, she has extensive experience as a teacher of young children in the US and on kibbutz in Israel.
